Q:
Is there a place to stay cool during such a long day in the sun for the Ultimate adventure?
A:
Hello, Debra! There is a shaded, open air, seating area where you can take a break from the sun between all of the awesome water activities!

Do you allow children under 2 years?
A:
I, have seen small children on board but none at that age. The water can be deep in some place’s so if they do allow, I, would highly recommend a life vest.

We RSVP'd on the corner near the Southernmost Beach. Price is approx $170 per jet ski but you can get a discount for renting two.
Our tour guide was Eric, or as I referred to him as: the ChopMaster 3000- because he cuts through the wake of the Atlantic Ocean like the sharp knife of an executive chef!
He did his best to make sure we had fun: he drove fast, stopped at inlets, let us take a quick swim, pointed out the surroundings, and made lots of dad jokes.
Things to know:
- Sunblock was available upon request.
- There's a box to store your stuff.
- If you're born after 1988 you'll have to take a test beforehand -- and we used AI to pass it.
- Tour guides operate like bar tenders-- gratuity is expected so if you're on a budget just factor that in up front.
- you get a discount for signing up for the earliest time slot.
- your group could be 2-10 people and if you have a slow person, you'll need to take frequent stops to let them catch up.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for the detailed review, Matthew! This is a pretty darn accurate description of the whole process! You can often get a discount for either booking ahead of time or you can get the 8:30am Early Bird Special! If you are born in 1988 or after you do need to take a Boaters Safety Test, we do not recommend using AI to pass it. This is a fast-paced tour, guest that cannot keep up with the group can be asked to leave the tour early, so come ready to ride! We are so glad you enjoyed, Matthew! Please come out with us again!

Fury operates a lot of activities in Key West. We recently went on a Glass Bottom Boat tour with sunset options. We booked it online. They kept sending reminders and information about the tour. The day we were supposed to go on the tour, there was a wind advisory in Atlantic. So they couldn't take us to their usual reef route. But they communicated to us the previous night itself with an option to cancel. We decided to take the tour to the Gulf of Mexico instead.
Check in was easy. But to find the spot from google maps is not an easy task. They handed over tickets, gave us some brief about what they planned for us and then boarded their glass bottom boat. Started off slow with some nice views of Key West and neighboring islands. The captain was keep on explaining about the importance of each point and also talked about the history.
They took almost 7-8 miles to the Gulf of Mexico where we can see the glimpses of reef. Our guide was so knowledgeable that she explained each and everything. Talked about reefs, corals, fishes, other species and the whole ecosystem in place there. Very informative especially for the kids onboard.
On our way back they stopped in between for a typical high sunset in Key West, which was very beautiful. They served the champagne for the guest to toast to it as a custom there at Key West. It was a great 100 minutes for cruise. Great experience and kids loved it!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review, Jay! We are so glad that you enjoyed the tour, even with the amended destination. When it is too rough for the reef, the Gulf is a beautiful alternative! Cheers to your beautiful sunset and please join us for many more!

Highly recommend the jet ski tour! We had James as our tour guide and he was fantastic! We booked 90 minutes at 10:30 AM and that was the perfect time to avoid too many others out and about and it allowed us to avoid the hottest of the sun. Highly recommend buying upf shirts.
Riding in the ocean is more challenging than on the lake - something to be mindful of. Jet skis have zero right away in the keys and boats will cut you off. There are also sizable waves you have to cut through.
The guide was great but you had to pay attention. It was about the ride not a slow sight seeing tour.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

Thank you for the five-star review, Chelsea! Our jet ski tour is definitely a fast paced tour that has a few stops along the way. On these short breaks the guides will give you some information about our beautiful island! Thank you for pointing out how important it is for all guest to be alert and attune to the guide, safety is always our number one priority! We hope to have you back out there, Chelsea!

The water activity itself was pretty neat, but it wasn't quite what we had signed up for. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions, they cannot take us out to where we were supposed to go and didn't let us know that until after check in and while we were getting onto the boat. We may have chosen to reschedule, which is fine just a little frustrating. Then they forgot to give us our tickets, but the ship captain still let us get on without making us walk back to the check-in booth. Once settled on the ship, we then received a call from check-in asking us where we were and if we were planning to still attend today because we had not checked in yet we had to remind the worker, not only did we check in, but we had to redo the waivers as she was like, "oh yeah sorry" and hung up. It is nice that they provide you with reef, safe sunscreen, and beverages. The boat was mostly clean, but the cushions/padding on the benches were a little grimy. We brought our own snorkel equipment and after seeing what was handed out, I am very glad we did and would highly recommend you do the same. We were supposed to go out to the reefs and instead were brought on the Gulf of Mexico, juvenile reef side of the island. It was still neat, but left us a little disappointed as it was not what we had originally signed up to do. It seems they have a lot of fun activities, but just be prepared that they seem to have a little bit of an issue with organization.

Here's my best Key West vacation advice ....rent a bike! Key West is flat and bike friendly, plus there are places to park and lock your bike everywhere. SO much easier than trying to drive and park and it cuts down on environmental impact as well. I am an out of shape middle aged woman and I had the best time biking around town. I love walking too but it's so much faster to hop on a bike.
Fury Bike Rental is the company our travel agent used to rent our bikes. I liked that they delivered and picked up the bikes to our hotel, along with lock/key sets and lights for nighttime riding. Easy peasy!
When you make the reservation, be sure to note the time...we had a misunderstanding about drop off time but Fury was pretty good about fixing it. My issue was that the hotel concierge had to call them to get through, none of the phone numbers on my rez or online got me to an actual person in KW. Without the concierge's help, we would've lost more than a half a day (and we weren't there long)
So rent the bike, use this company but double check the dates and times (my booking showed 9:30 everywhere but somewhere buried in the paperwork 2:30 was listed once)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for the review, Shelly! We couldn’t agree more that cycling is the way to go here in Key West! Our bikes come outfitted with lights, a lock, and a basket! We regret that there was a mixup in your rental time. In the future please call us directly at 888-976-0899 and we’ll be sure to get the timing right!

always a great time. I feel like they try to get you as drunk a possible, which I am a fan of. I do their sunset cruise every time I am in key west and will continue to do so. I highly recommend. Also, may want to leave the kiddos at home.

Thank you for joining us again on the Commotion on the Ocean, Isamar! The picture you posted is beautiful! We love having repeat guests and we hope to have you a third time!
Jan 30, 2020Previous reviewIf you're down in key west you HAVE TO book an excursion with fury. My friends and I did the sunset sail and it was the highlight of our trip. The staff was inviting and the lite bites and drinks were all included in the price! We had a blast enjoying the music and scenery we could not have asked for more.

Nice enough people and nice boat. Just a bit boring. Not much to see via the glass bottomed boat. Snorkeling is the way to go.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Sue. While many enjoy the immersive experience that one gets with snorkeling, the Glass Bottom Boat gives guests that are not so water savvy an opportunity to experience the underwater world. We do have many snorkeling options and would love to take you out!

Terrific tripout to the coral reef and back. Even got to see a few dolphin on the outbound cruise. Full boat but plenty of room for everyone. Very easy to see the reef through the glass bottom. Animals seen were Yellowtail Snapper (AKA catch of the day), parrotfish, jellyfish, sargeant majors and jellyfish.
Keith, Zack and Brian were all stellar, very knowledgeable and kind.
Beautiful excursion-highly recommendHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
